Apollo Centre for Fetal Medicine and Bangalore Fetal Medicine Centre in partnership with Empower-US is organising a two day on-site First Trimester hands-on ultrasound skill enhancement course. This is a comprehensive program incorporating theoretical content relevant to practical aspects of Ultrasound in the above fields
The mainstay of this program is supervised independent hands-on practice in transabdominal and transvaginal scans, on the OPUS simulator.
OPUS is the latest generation in simulation.
This advanced technology conveys a live scanning experience.
The program is designed for doctors who wish to acquire and enhance US diagnostic skills for obstetrics scans. The course curriculum will address

- methodology
- image optimisation
- principles of screening
- how to take critical measurements
and progress in a systematic fashion to cover important aspects of FMF-UK First trimester screening as relevant to practice in India.
